President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama Dance at the Nobel Banquet

Yesterday President Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize, and his lovely bride was on hand to dance the night away with him. Mrs. Obama wore a silver floor length evening gown with what must have been quite the heels underneath, as she looks taller than Barack in the photo!

While it is not entirely certain who designed the First Lady’s ensemble (there’s a matching jacket in some photos I’ll post later), Mrs. O seems to have a strong belief that it is the work of Azzedine Alaia.

Obamas Host Indian Prime Minister Singh At The White House

Last night First Lady Michelle Obama hosted Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and his wife, Mrs. Gursharan Kaur, at the Obamas first state dinner. It was a gala event, and the First Lady dressed to impress. Her gown was designed by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan. It has an ivory base and stunning silver overlay. She accessorized with drop earrings as well as silver and gold bangles. More on her wardrobe is available on Mrs. O.

Michelle Obama Makes Presentation On History Of WH State Dinners

Tonight is First Lady Michelle Obama’s first state dinner. She is hosting the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Mrs. Gursharan Kaur. The occasion has been exquisitely planned out, down to the last detail. While making preparations Mrs. Obama looked amazing in her J. Crew Crystal Constellation cardigan and a pencil skirt by Indian-American designer Rachel Roy. She accented these with a silver belt, large bracelet, and silver pumps.

Oprah Attends Formal Dinner in Denmark!

Oprah is lending her star power to the First Lady to help bring the 2016 Summer Olympic Games to Chicago. Here we see Oprah’s arrival in Copenhagen for the 121st International Olympic Committee meeting. Oprah is wear a stunning combination. Her simple white blouse and black skirt are wonderful complimented by a silver shawl and silver pearls. The queen of daytime tv is dressed to impress.

Oprah Attends Welcome Dinner Put on by Chicago Delegation at the 121st International Olympic Committee Meeting

Unfortunately, I don’t yet have any photos of Michelle in Copenhagen to post.  However, I was able to find a video of her arrival.  As you can see, the First Lady is wearing a patterned jacket with matching dress underneath.  The design of the jacket/dress combination creates an interesting effect, as they are nearly identical, except that the jacket’s pattern uses circles and the dress’ pattern uses squares.  The jacket is drawn in at the waist by a black belt tied in a bow and the entire ensemble is complimented by silver heels and simple stud earrings.

While the First Lady certainly looks nice, this isn’t my favorite combination on her.  Mrs. Obama is a very sleek looking woman, and I find the patterns to be a bit too busy.

I’ll follow up with photos when I can get my hands on some, but in the meantime, you can also watch the short statement that the First Lady gave to the press after arriving.
