Obama

My apologies for only getting these images to you now.  I was attending a conference late last week and am visiting family for the holidays, so I haven’t had the time to keep as up to date with this blog as I would like.

This is the first in a series of posts on the First Lady’s trip to Oslo, Norway.  As you likely already know, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize a few months ago.  Consequently, the President and First Lady traveled to Oslo, Norway to participate in the Nobel festivities.

Here we see the President and First Lady leaving the White House for Andrews Air Force Base.  The First Lady is looking good in her black peacoat and red scarf.  Of course, as good as they look, neither of them look too happy.  I’m not sure what the story is here…

It seems that the First Lady has some special connections in the fashion world.  Mrs. O reported earlier today that the beautiful red dress that you see Michelle wearing in the picture above is a one-of-a-kind piece from superstar designer Oscar de la Renta’s son Moises.  According to Mrs. O, “The dress is a one-of-a-kind piece made especially for Mrs. Obama and constructed from Gandini sponge crepe.”

Well isn’t that fancy.
