As part of her Let's Move! third anniversary tour, First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a fireside chat with Kelly Ripa about the importance of kids' health. You can watch the event or just check out some of the pictures. A couple of notable points that the First Lady made were:
Sports Illustrated showed up at Michelle Obama's Let's Move! event in Chicago to photograph her and a group of famous athletes for their cover. I'm pretty sure that will make First Lady Michelle to be the first First Lady to ever grace the front of the iconic magazine.
So fortunate to meet such inspirational people. @flotus @serenawilliams @kaepernick7 @gabbydoug2012 @allysonfelix twitter.com/prod84/status/…

Michelle Obama is going all out to help kids get healthy, and she brought in the heavyweights — figuratively, not literally of course — to help her do just that. Dominque, Gabby, Allyson, Bob, Bo, Colin, Sarah, Paul, Serena, and Ashton are some of America's best athletes and they, along with the First Lady, put their dance shoes on to encourage kids to keep moving.

First Lady Michelle Obama certainly looked Oscar worthy in a silver, pewter, and gray metallic beaded dress and matching drop earrings as she announced the winner of the Oscar for Best Picture: Argo, the story of the rescue of six Americans from the Canadian embassy in Iran during the hostage crisis in 1980.

First Lady Michelle Obama announces the Best Picture Oscar to Argo live from the Diplomatic Room of the White House, Feb. 24, 2013.

UPDATE: I just learned that this photo was actually from a while ago when the First Lady surprised White House guests. Here are some photos from this week's tour surprise!
First Lady Michelle looks stylish in her tweed jacket!
What a beautiful dress. Love the black brocade lace overlaying the gray!

"Chuck Kennedy made this amusing photograph of First Lady Michelle Obama participating in a potato sack race with Jimmy Fallon in the East Room of the White House during a “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” taping for the second anniversary of the "Let’s Move!" initiative."
Michelle, Sasha, Malia, and Bo the First Dog get the White House Christmas Tree. Don't they make quite the cute group?

First Lady Michelle Obama is joined by Malia Obama and Sasha Obama for the presentation of the Official White House Christmas Tree at the North Portico of the White House, Nov. 25, 2011. The 19-foot-tall balsam fir came from Schroeder’s Forevergreens near Neshkoro, Wisconsin and will be displayed throughout the holiday season in the Blue Room of the White House.
The tree from Schroeder's Forevergreens in Wisconsin is being decorated to honor of military families.
Schroeder's is one of approximately 800 Christmas tree lots and farms in the US that participates in the Trees for Troops program, which gives free Christmas trees to military families. This year they hopes to deliver their 100,000th tree.
