First Lady Michelle Obama during a break in her one-on-one meetings with International Olympic Committee members in Copenhagen, Denmark, Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 (Official White House Photo by Chuck Kennedy)
Michelle has been hard at work meeting one-on-one with International Olympic Committee (IOC) members as part of her effort to bring the 2016 Olympic Games to Chicago. The IOC is the Olympic governing body that determines where the games will be held.
Here we have a great photo of the beautiful First Lady with Chicago’s candidate city banner just slightly out of focus in the background. I think that Chuck Kennedy, the White House photographer who snapped this pic, did an excellent job of capturing the First Lady’s trip and mission in a single image. If there was to be one defining image for this Olympic bid, I believe this would be that photo.
